Tangram is an anicent Chinese puzzle used both as a game and as a meditation tool. Originally it was made of seven pieces of wood or ceramic, forming several geometric figures: five triangles, a square, and a trapezium.
1001 Tangram Puzzles is exactly what its name implies: a computer game showing more than a thousand different puzzles for you to solve, based on the traditional Chinese game. Some of the figures are rather figurative, as human figures, several types of animals like squirrels, dinosaurs, birds, fish and so on, while other are abstract, as geometric figures, symbols and so on. You can choose among the wide variety of puzzles offered and try to solve on your own. You can drag and drop the different pieces, as well as rotate or flip them to fit into the model. If you fail to solve the puzzle, you can take a look at the answer and give yourself a second chance.
The demo version is limited to about an hour of game. After that, a "nag screen" appears, reminding you to purchase the full version of the product.
